Principal Characters and Themes:
Taaron ™
- Taaron initially appeared in JJ's Mini Comix as Aaron of Tajon in
1985-87 and is currently in production in 2006-07 scheduled for release some
time in 2008. Visit the Taaron Website at
Taaron.Net.
Blatimus ™
- Blat 1. (verb transitive) To sound harshly or raucously. To emit a
sound at a loud or distorted level. 2. (proper noun) The nickname of a
large, ugly oaf of a barbarian named Blatimus. This
character was created back around 1997.
The Furocious Chipmunk™ - The Furocious Chipmunk was
originally referenced around 1975 and then later appeared in a painting "The
Furocious Chipmunk" in 1987. This was an iconic portrait of the
stand-off between a hiker in the woods and a not-so-timid chipmunk.
The Furocious Chipmunk Series™ - The Furocious Chipmunk Series
began with "The Furocious Chipmunk" at the end of 1987 and still continues
to produce work to this day. This series continued on including
several creatures in the order of Rodentia other than the standard
Tamias Striatus commonly known as the Eastern Chipmunk. One such
work was titled "Let's Get Out Of Here!" featuring a beaver near a beaver
dam.
The Furocious Epic™ - This began with the Furocious
Chipmunk Series concept which includes several "Lost Episodes" and over time
has been developing as a graphic novel.
Captain Furocious™ - Captain Furocious first appeared in
a comic strip in 1988 and later was redone on a grander scale under official
copyright April 4, 1995.
The "Spiritual Warfare" double laminate
scripture memory cards were originally produced in 1997 and continued on in
a series of large prints detailing the "Armor of God" principally
from Ephesians 6 KJV and other similar Bible refrences.

Artist's
Statement:
My work is done out of my desire to inspire and entertain.
Other than that, the simple fact is I was created to create. |
Kep Jekura 2007 |
I love all stages of creating
work. But perhaps the most
exciting is the planning stage with the rough sketches and story boards.
I love the gestural quality of a sketch and my aim is to carry the
excitement thru to the finished masterpiece.
I continually work on
several projects at all stages to keep my technique fresh and new.
I'm always drawing and painting, creating new banners, and
illustrating stories. I am
also the administrator of several active websites so I am continually
updating content and pages. |

Artist's
Bio:
I was born and raised in the charming small towns of Wisconsin. I've
always had a passion for art which carried me through high school and on
into college.
I received some formal Art education along with Broadcast Communications at
the Christian Liberal Arts school - Asbury College in Wilmore Kentucky, 30
minutes south of Lexington. Deep in the heart of Kentucky I was
surrounded in the most beautiful horse country on earth. There I found
myself exploring everywhere from the Appalachian wilderness to the depths of
Mammoth Cave.
My appreciation for nature is ever growing and is reflected in everything I
do in my spare moments.
I found my way to Michigan when love found it's way into my heart. I met a
beautiful girl at college who is local to Battle Creek. We share many of the
same passions in life.
Currently I work in digital design creating images to entertain and inspire.
I love to illustrate nature... being a firm believer of the common credo "If
you can see, then you can draw" I spend countless hours foraging about
collecting reference photos in the wild out-of-doors for my work.
I found my way to the internet 1997 when I first became
known as Kep Jekura. The name Kep Jekura came from one
of my characters originally created for the upcoming
Furocious Epic™. Actually the character was named
after the destination Kep Jekura, a fictional star system.
However I don't really resemble the character and I don't
consider myself a star. I just liked the name. |
